Silver Prices Forecast 2012 will increase Outlook unchanged 2014

Silver exchange-traded funds (silver etf) will increase in 2012 if investors seek safe-haven assets. Also, increased industrial demand should support prices, but the pace of industrial consumption should moderate from 2011 levels. 2014 Silver forecast of $28 and maintained his five-year outlook unchanged at $25. Average silver 2012 price forecast to $34 per troy ounce, and his average 2013 price forecast to $30.

Silver market will increase this year to 161,000 ounces from last year's 95,000 ounces but will narrow next year to 138,000 ounces. In fact, silver’s wide industrial use due to its superior electrical conductivity and catalytic properties has been the vital element in the rise of the price of silver. According to The Silver Institute, industrial application accounted for almost half of silver’s demand in 2010.

Silver gained 31 cents to open at three pennies under the $32 mark but its early rise did not appear to be imbued with a lot of energy either. We had mixed openings in the noble metals space; platinum rose $5 to the $1,498 level while palladium fell $2 to the $669 figure per ounce.

Silver price forecasts for 2012 and 2013 amid expectations that strong bar and coin investment demand, coupled with growing interest in silver ETFs, will boost the market. Rhodium remained at $1,500 after having shed $50 in the most recent session. The greenback traded at 78.77 on the index this morning while crude oil was in suspended animation at $98.45 per barrel. About the only notable advance in values this morning was in copper, which climbed 1.5% on account of news that China's inflation showed a dip and that its copper output fell 4.5% in November.

Deutsche Bank is forecasting silver prices $37 in the first quarter, $39 in the second and $44 in the third and fourth quarters.
