Average Rice Prices Rose in 2012 Indonesia

Average rice prices 2012, price of the whole group of good quality dry unhulled paddy, dry rice harvest, or a group of low-quality rice, the average increase in January.

At the farm level, the highest grain prices in January reached Rp5.200 per kilogram resulting from transactions between the quality of dry unhulled rice varieties IR 64 is derived from the District Suradadi, Tegal Regency and the quality of unhusked paddy harvest in District Jatilawang, Banyumas.

While the lowest prices at the farm level Rp3, 500 per kilogram from the group of low quality rice varieties Ciherang Kedungtuban contained in the District, District Blora.

"The rise in grain prices also occurred at the mill in January 2012," he said.

The average price of dry unhulled rice group in January 2012 rose 2.36 percent from the previous month Rp4.807 (December 2011) to Rp4.921 per kilogram (January 2012).

For the quality of unhusked rice harvest rose 9.32 percent from Rp4.260 per kilogram (December 2011) to Rp4.657 per kilogram (January 2012).

While for low quality rice rose 2.70 percent from Rp3.834 per kilogram (December 2011) to Rp3.938 per kilogram (January 2012).

At the mill level, the highest grain prices reached Rp5.250 per kilogram derived from dry milled grain quality varieties IR 64 in District Suradadi, Tegal Regency, and the quality of unhusked grain harvested in District 64 IR varitetas Purwojati, Banyumas.

The lowest price milling rate of Rp3, 500 per kilogram from the group of low quality rice varieties in the district Ciherang Kedungtuban, Blora District.

If viewed from the average water content of dry unhulled group 12.74 per cent (January 2012) or an increase compared to December 2011 which recorded 12.25 per cent. Dry grain harvest group 16.60 per cent (January 2012) lower than in December 2011 which recorded 18.77 per cent.

"While the average level of vacuum in January 2012 for dry milled grain and dry grain harvest showed a better quality levels than the month of December 2011," he said.

Vacuum levels in December to 2.51 percent dry unhulled rice dry and empty levels yields 5.56 percent, while the month of January 2012 levels of vacuum dry unhulled rice 2.29 percent and 5.41 percent dry harvest.
